Correction and Retraction

Correction and Retraction Policy

Jurnal Ekonomi Pembangunan STIE Muhammadiyah Palopo is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. When errors or serious issues are identified in published articles, the journal will take appropriate action in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Corrections
Minor errors that do not affect the overall results or conclusions (e.g., typographical errors, incorrect author affiliations, or small data mistakes) will be corrected through a Corrigendum (author-initiated) or Erratum (journal-initiated). The correction notice will be linked to the original article.

Retractions
An article may be retracted if:

  • There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to misconduct (fabrication, falsification) or honest error
  • The article constitutes plagiarism
  • The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper attribution or justification (redundant publication)
  • There is evidence of unethical research practices
  • Authorship disputes cannot be resolved and significantly affect the integrity of the work

A retraction notice will clearly state the reason for the retraction and will remain permanently linked to the original article. The original article will be marked as “Retracted” but will remain accessible for the scholarly record.

Expressions of Concern
In cases where an investigation is ongoing or inconclusive, the journal may issue an Expression of Concern.

Authors are obliged to notify the journal promptly if they discover significant errors in their published work.
