Authorship Criteria
Jurnal Ekonomi Pembangunan STIE Muhammadiyah Palopo follows the authorship criteria recommended by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authorship is limited to individuals who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the work.
To qualify as an author, an individual must meet all of the following criteria:
- Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
- Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
- Final approval of the version to be published; AND
- Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet all four criteria should be listed in the Acknowledgments section (e.g., technical assistance, data collection, writing assistance, or general support).
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors meet the authorship criteria, that no inappropriate authors are included, and that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript and agreed to its submission. Changes to the author list after submission require written approval from all authors and a clear justification.
Ghost authorship, gift authorship, and guest authorship are strictly prohibited.
