Efektivitas Penerapan Total Quality Management (TQM) dan Hubungannya dengan Kinerja Manajerial
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Polda Papua merupakan salah satu kantor Polda Papua di bidang Lembaga Pemerintahan yang telah menerapkan Total Quality Management (TQM) untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan kualitas kinerja manajerial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan dan efektivitas TQM, serta hubungannya dengan kinerja manajerial perusahaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam dan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui analisis efektivitas serta korelasi Spearman Rank terhadap 17 informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efektivitas penerapan TQM berada pada kategori efektif dengan skor rata-rata 79%. Analisis korelasi menghasilkan koefisien sebesar 0,39 yang mengindikasikan adanya hubungan sedang dan searah antara efektivitas TQM dengan kinerja manajerial. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan TQM berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja manajerial pada kantor Polda Papua.

ABSTRACT
The Papua Regional Police (Polda Papua) is one of the Papua Regional Police offices in the Government Institution sector that has implemented Total Quality Management (TQM) to improve competitiveness and the quality of managerial performance. This study aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of TQM, as well as its relationship with the company's managerial performance. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth interviews and a quantitative approach through effectiveness analysis and Spearman Rank correlation of 17 informants. The results show that the level of effectiveness of TQM implementation is in the effective category with an average score of 79%. The correlation analysis produces a coefficient of 0.39, indicating a moderate and unidirectional relationship between TQM effectiveness and managerial performance. This finding confirms that the implementation of TQM contributes positively to improving managerial performance at the Papua Regional Police office.
